Hi, it's been far too long since I've had a chance to get back on. Things here in Montana are going really good. We added four super cute bum lambs to our brood a couple weeks ago. Beatrice, Bea for short, Scarlett, Pickles & Piglet. Trent & Jase wrapped up preschool. Trent is so excited about Kindergarten next year. Trenter's playing t-ball & has been the pitcher. It's a lot of fun! We've all been going down to the creek almost everday this week. We planted some pumpkins seeds down there, so it'll be neat to see how they come up. Arik also made me a great big spot for a garden. We have some plants ready to go. Maybe I'll get those in tomorrow. Brett is growing & starting to talk more. He really enjoys chasing the catss & hissing at them. He also chases our inside kitty, Pudge, relentless. It's pretty entertaining to say the least. Trent's doing great riding on the gravel on his bike. Jaser rode this bike for about 500 feet today for the first time...which was great!

Well, just wanted to update you a bit. I'll try to make a couple photoshow links so you can see more pics of our little guys.

Blessings to each of you,

Jean

Long time no post

Hi everyone...long time no post. My apologies for not keeping up with it. It's been pretty busy around the Petersen house. We finally moved into our new house. We literally painted every wall & ceiling in our house before moving in as well as had a few home improvement projects going. We had a little bit of a time getting the phone, internet & stuff in, but it's in now & going great...except that only one phone jack works...which is fine except for hauling it back & forth to fax...but it's is a work in progress & absolutley no complaints. It's wonderful being here! Arik is working on his shop & all the boys love running around outside...playing in all the gravel piles & just plain running around having fun. I did put an updated photoshow down on the links part that shows some of what we've been up to. Trent, Jase & I are off to see Playhouse Disney Live in Billings, so we're looking forward to that. Arik gets to wrangle half-pint here, which is a full time plus job lately. I do think he's quicker than Trent & Jaser ever were at this age...afterall he does have to keep up with his big brothers...which he does a darn good job of it. He really likes to hide things...like the cat in the pedestal drawers under the washer & dryer. It took me a while to find her...but I had to play 'hot' & 'cold' listening around the house for the mew. He also likes to hide all the remotes & is quite a great climber. His favorite spot is dancing in the middle of the table throwing food to the animals...it is fairly comical around here. Well, I better wrap up for now.

Blessings to you all!

Happy Birtday Arik!

Hi there...here's just a couple pictures from lately. Trent made the Carbon County News, you can barely see in the dog drawn sleigh...they had a blast during Christmas Stroll! Then we celebrated Arik's 34th Birthday last night & had some good friends over. The sailboat is an picture Trent recently drew. He really likes to draw lately, so he has some neat pictures he's been sharing. We've been working on painting virtually every space in our new house & it's coming along. We only have had a couple mishaps...Brett walked through while also rolling the paint roller through some 'Warm Gingerbread' shade of paint on our carpet upstairs...unfortunately the carpet is not realy dark...but what's left will end up blending. Then he's also throwing all the paint sticks and any free laying toys down the vents since we've had all of that off to paint...so there are some new items that have found there home in our central heating system. I managed to give myself a black eye by hitting a corner of a wall ...of all things & then I can't seem to get away from mice, as I took a switch plate off & there was one fried in-between the switches. Jase "said look I can see it's bones...cool." It's been fun!

It's currently a balmy 2 below today but the wind is going & it's dumping snow.

Well, we hope you all are having a great Christmas season!

Much Love to you all!

New House

We're homeowners!

We closed on our New House on Wednesday. It was very exciting. We've already been painting away & I have all sorts of ideas for the walls & stuff. It's 20 acres, with 30+ new trees & access to Clear creek...so the we can all walk down & fish. The boys are excited to bring the horses over, too. It all happened really quick & we are blessed!

There's a slideshow below with the new house and images of it, & another one of a good friends wedding we just went to.

Well, we're off to paint. I told the older boys they could paint their cubby hole under the stairs...we'll see how that all goes.

Hunting season almost over

Well, it's been a fun weekend. I've been trying to get Christmas stuff together & out, so I'm not so far behind as always. We've been finishing up hunting season around here. Arik went out all day & then we've been fielding off all the random folks who want to come hunting out here. I'm ready for that part to be done. The boys & I tried to do a Christmas project this morning which was fun, but ended up with a little more frustration on my part...just a lot of ink pads & six little hands all at one time. Brett was saturated in red ink & ended up pulling the ink pad out of it's container. Trenter tried to use his finger to draw his name resulting in blue ink...everywhere & Jase was doing good, until Brett started grabbing his Christmas bag & stamps resulting in things being airborne...all good, just didn't go as coordinated as I had planned.

Just got home...Arik & his friends ended up getting three nice bucks today. One for one of our friends which was his first time hunting so it was a big day for him.
